World Mental Health Day – Mayor of Haringey Invitation
The Mayor of Haringey, Cllr Stephen Mann, has chosen the theme of Mental Health and Wellbeing in Haringey for his year in office and has selected Studio 306 and Mind in Haringey for his Mayor’s special fund to assist in raising awareness and raising much needed funds.
We believe that mental health is everyone’s business. In a year, 1 in 4 of us and 1 in 10 children will experience mental health issues. We all need to be more aware of our Mental health. World Mental Health Day this year has the theme of “Mental Health in the work place”. Did you know that 70 million working days are lost each year due to mental ill health costing Britain £70-100 billion annually.
On Friday the 6th October, in recognition of World Mental health day, the Mayor would like you to join him at an event with businesses, organisations and communities in Haringey to accept his “Call to Action” to make Haringey a mentally healthier borough for all”
The Launch Event will be held on Friday 6th October 4pm – 6pm in the Podium of River Park House, 225 High Road, Wood Green, N22 8HQ.
If any organisations/businesses would like to assist the Mayor’s fundraising by donating a raffle prizes or making donations, this can be done at this event or discussed with the Mayor’s Office.
